SHELTERS
Good Shelters are needed. We have a 3 sided shelter in every pasture and a main barn that houses all our alpacas. The shelters in the pastures provide shelter against the wind and rain and also provide shade. Our barn is sectioned in 2 areas, one for the females and one for the males. They have access to the barn any time and in the extreme cold of our winters they spend most of their time in the barn to keep warm. If you prefer not to have a barn, you should have a 3 sided shelter with the option of closing up the 4th side in extreme weather.
